Silhouette Series Romance
-
My first sale occurred on
Halloween 1986 and the book, Silhouette Desire’s
Partners for Life, was released in July 1987 in time
for RWA’s national conference in Dallas, Texas. The
following year Partners earned me my first
nomination for the Golden Medallion (now Rita Award) and
I’ve had three nominations since - winning in 1993 for
another Silhouette Desire Navarrone.
To date I’ve written thirty-four books for Silhouette
lines including Desire, Special Edition, Shadows, and
Romance, with international sales in over twenty-five
countries.

Single Title Suspense -
Realizing that many of my
books have involved elements of mystery and suspense,
and that my plots were growing increasingly more
complicated, I expanded my repertoire to include single
title by writing suspense for Mira. The first, a
southern gothic, was Come Sundown in 1998.
Agreeing with many editors and agents that it takes nine
months to a year to write a good suspense, I released
one yearly after that. I’m currently pausing to work on
a new angle for the genre, which is taking an incredible
amount of research and study.
